When I was an undergraduate, I initially planned to pursue a career in film or theater, but I also had a strong interest in my courses related to social issues. In an effort to apply these subjects to the real world, I began volunteering with a local Planned Parenthood. It was there I discovered my previously unknown talent for facilitating conversations about sensitive topics. Ultimately, my passion for teaching won out, leading me to shift my focus from the arts to health education.
During my years in health education, I became fascinated by concepts like design thinking and how they could be applied in the education field. I enjoyed finding opportunities to use research and design principles to create better learning experiences. This passion for innovation and improvement drove me to take a bold step in my educational journey. In 2022, I moved from California to New York to pursue my Master’s degree in Learning Technology and Experience Design.
Outside of work, you will often find me immersed in a book or crossword puzzle, going for a run, or dancing to musical theater tunes around my apartment!
